Flirty Flamingo Thank You Card & Tag

Spread the love

Hi! Thanks for joining me!

Today has been the most beautiful sunshiney day! So I picked up some bright summery inks, shut my eyes and randomly pointed… (yes I do this! Sometimes there can be too much choice in the craft room and it becomes daunting)  Flirty Flamingo was going to be the choice for today’s crafting. When I craft I dont always have a plan, I like to just play and see where it takes me…. secondly, I chose the stampset I wanted to play with, Thankful Thoughts is what caught my eye, and so I chose one stamp out of the set to see what could be done with it, I left it entire for a couple of stamps, then tried masking off the last two words to give me an alternative that could fit in my 2 1/4″ circle punch for a different look! Then I played with the second layers and punches, namely the Everyday Label Punch, 2 1/4″ Circle Punch and The Starburst Punch, I have added a photo to show you, its great to mix things up to give an entirely original look to your layers! A couple of these I have put aside for another day ? ….

I popped a few Flirty Flamingo Enamel shapes on my two stamped images, and glued them down to my silver layer using the Fine Tip Glue, next came my card base, I decided to stick with the theme of flirty flamingo and picked out a 12×12″ sheet, and using my Stampin’ Trimmer cut off a 4″ panel, this panel I then shortened to 8″ and popped the remining 4″ x 4″ aside for my tag. I used my Stampin trimmer to score my card base at 4″ and folded then burnished the crease with a bone folder.

I offered up the card topper to the base but felt it needed a little something extra so wrapped some jute twine around the card 4 times, and used fast fuse to stick the loose ends down under where the front panel would be stuck over to hide those ends! I popped some Stampin’ dimentionals under the front panel just to give it enough lift to clear the twine and give that little pop of dimention to the card.

For the Tag I used the remaining piece of 4″ x 4″ Flirty Flamingo cardstock that was left over from cutting our cardbase, inked up the Marbled background stamp with matching ink and stamped. I added the top layers using the fine tip glue. Punched a hole in the top corner for the tag’s string, which the jute twine came out for again, and also added a jute bow to finish the look.

I hope you like them!
